macOS could not be installed on your computer (-69808) code

Background - the logic board on my 2018 MBP was replaced about 6 months ago. Since then, Internet Recovery would only download macOS High Sierra. Apple checked the laptop twice, but could not isolate the issue.

Downloaded the update for macOS Catalina to install OVER the latest macOS Mojave version. Upon reboot, the above error (screen shot attached) appears.

Are you still within warranty? If so, Apple should replace it!
