macOS Docs/Desktop Continuity: Covers Syncing rMBP and the rMB 12"?

The new macOS Documents and Desktop folder iCloud synchronization feature seems really useful, though the details were a little unclear to me from the keynote.

Does anyone know if this covers syncing your Documents and Desktop folders on, say, your rMBP and your 12" MacBook? (between two macs) Or is it only for syncing a Mac with an iOS device?
