Hello, my MacBook air 2018 has a big issue with its software.
My Original plan was to reinstall the OS.
I did the normal things, went to diskmanager And deleted everything from the Drive.
Then I restarted the MacBook like normal, And pressed command+R.
After that It gives me a screen, where I can Connect to a Wi-Fi, but When I try to use it It gives error code -1008F. I have tried many times And it does the same everytime.
I have no access to the Internet recovery window, so I cant use a USB installation media, because I cant change the bootoption.
The computer has no warranty left.
Is there anything I can do?
I have also tried all the keyboard combinations And they dont do anything.

Cmd option R.
Also already smc and pram?
I prefer using USB thumb drive, the only issue is t2 devices require more work to boot to thumb drives

That error is usually because you are trying to use Internet recovery over with a wifi security method not supported. Just for now, try opening up your wifi with no password and see if that works.

i have a Macbook air 2018 T2chip.Ysterday i was install the big sur beta where i wouldnt like it so i was try to make a clean install of catalina.
I was delete accidentaly my macintosh hd and left only the macintosh data hd.I have hours an hours today trying to fix it.when i reboot goes to recovery with the globe and when finished says error 1008 f.After hours of searching and more of 20 times of reboot i was deactive from my icloud the mac and find my mac and make one try ,the install window was appeared but i could nt see my macintosh hd.So i create a new one and i named macintosh hd and just works. So will never do not delete the hard drive .I hope this someone helps in the future.

If you boot back to Recovery Mode and run Disk Utility what does it show when you enable View->Show All Devices?

Didnt work for me.

You need to remove the device from the Find My devices. that is blocking it to proceed with the recovery and that's why the 1008F error
after you do that, try restarting with Command + R, and if that doesn’t work try with Comand + Option + R
That fixed it for me

Thanks it worked for me, first i only removed in find my but then i removed mac from icloud but had to wait for some time it worked after few hours. I also got stuck on activation lock at later stage it was asking for last appleid used my last id dint work so i erased the disk then i was able to install big sur. Wasted entire day behind this. Just for context i erased my macintosh hd and also erased macintosh hd data because it consumed more than half of my ssd. After that big sur installation failed giving some validation error and got stuck in internet recovery loop of 1008f errors.
