On my MBP (Sequoia 15.2), when streaming from my Logi Circle cams via Home.app, I get the dreaded "No Response" message after roughly 30 seconds of viewing. I was watching the logs and noticed that when the camera goes "No Response", an RTP timeout message gets logged (some fields removed):

JSON:
{
  "messageType" : "Error",
  "eventType" : "logEvent",
  "source" : null,
  "formatString" : "%{public}@Video stream RTP has timed out",
  "userID" : 503,
  "activityIdentifier" : 0,
  "subsystem" : "com.apple.HomeKit",
  "category" : "camera.stream.video",
  "threadID" : 434813,
  },
  "bootUUID" : "",
  "processImagePath" : "\/System\/Library\/PrivateFrameworks\/HomeKitDaemon.framework\/Support\/homed",
  "senderImagePath" : "\/System\/Library\/PrivateFrameworks\/HomeKitDaemon.framework\/Versions\/A\/HomeKitDaemon",
  "timestamp" : "2025-01-05 09:45:14.020254-0800",
  "machTimestamp" : 1245211067042,
  "eventMessage" : "[Driveway\/9\/47086315-09DF-41BC-A2CE-C0B8CDA1FD17] Video stream RTP has timed out",

},

After that, there are more error messages, which are probably side-effects of the timeout:

JSON:
"formatString" : "%{public}@Failed to write selected stream configuration: the write reply ended in error response: %{public}@",
"eventMessage" : "Failed to write selected stream configuration: the write reply ended in error response: Error Domain=HMErrorDomain Code=48 \"Operation is not supported\" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Operation is not supported}",
"formatString" : "%{public}@Failed to write stop stream configuration: %@",

Closing and reopening the stream resumes the video for a brief amount of time and then it goes No Response with the same time out.

I've noticed that if I disable the MacOS firewall, my timeout/no response issues go away and I can view my streams without any timeouts for hours at a time.

I've added Home.app to the firewall ("Allow Incoming Connections") and also "Automatically allow built-in software to receive incoming connections" is ON.

I'm not yet sure why the firewall is causing the timeout, but as of now, it appears to be the main culprit.

My other machine, which is an older iMac running Catalina, has no problems when viewing a stream with the Firewall enabled. My MBP is running Sequoia and so far, turning off the Firewall is the only way for me to make my camera streams viewable.

Any suggestions as to how I should configure the Firewall to allow the home app to work?

I should mention that for the longest time, I always assumed that it was my wifi (ORBI Mesh) causing problems but now that I'm seeing errors in my local log, I'm ruling that out.

Thoughts? Thanks!
