macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 as a guest in Fusion stuck in boot loop

- VMWare Fusion 10.1.1 (7520154)

- Host: macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 running on a 2017 MacBook Pro 15"

- Guest: macOS High Sierra 10.13.3

Installed everything fine, rebooted and installed VMWare Tools, rebooted again and entered a continuous boot loop and I get the following crash screen on every boot:

Any idea on the root cause and how to fix it? Thanks
