after upgrading to macos high sierra 10.13.4, i can't make a backup trough time machine anymore to my synology (which is updated to the latest version) when i connect to the Synology assistent i get the message in the address line of the browser: not safe followed by the Ip address.

time machine gives the following message:

An error occurred while copying files. This is possibly a temporary problem. If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to restore the backup disk.

Latest successful backup: January 28, 2018

does somebody has a solution to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Len

It's not "safe" because the connection uses http, one person on your local LAN might intercept your traffic.
The other issue is unrelated and I have no idea how to resolve it.

Downgrade to the non-beta, and wait for Synology to update their software to work with 10.13.14. Also did you check out Synology's support forum, they have info regarding this issue
