So I got Samsung 850 Evo SSD 250GB (because only one with 5 years warranty) and external enclosure ICY BOX IB-233U3-B
Actually for years been thinking about doing this macOS on external SSD,
see a lot of people recommending, since my 21.5 iMac have 5400rpm HDD.
I put the ssd in the enclosure connected to my mac with sierra and first tested disc speed, around 450MB about 100MB less than the ssd is supposed to but I knew the enclosure might lower the speed a litle bit. Next I instaled High Sierra, which suposed to by default instal with APFS, the where no checkbox during instalation and it not instaled with APFS, but I check the ssd speed again with high sierra and i was another 100 less around 350!
I searched how to change to APFS, got into recovery mode, launched disk utility and the Convert to APFS option was grayed out not available, but I could erase and format the drive to APFS and after that install High Sierra again.
Check the ssd speed and it's still around just 350. The iMac boot in around 27 seconds which is amazing compared to almost two minutes with the HDD. Anyway apps don't launch immediately like I see on reviews of new macs with SSD, still couple bounces, probably becouse the USB 3.0 insted of Sata or PCI Express.
In disc utility it shows that the ssd SMART is not supported, so I found another app, DriveDX it also shows that it doesn't support SMART technology, so I would not know in the future if the ssd is failing... so this means the external enclosure is bad? Also nice, the DriveDX shows that the HDD inside is FAILING, 101 reallocated Sector Count, should't macOS inform me about something like failing disk?
I'v chcecked in disk utility and it showed that theres nothing wrong with the HDD.
Here some of the weird behaviour, I never heard of anything like this, nothing like this ever happened to me, at most I it would just hang for a bit.
So I downloaded some files and the download folder was empty, it showed files downloaded but nowhere to be found. After just restaring the mac the files were in the download folder, so thats weird.
Another thing, I got orgin to download games, they been downloading and finished downloading but they aren't nowhere, after quiting origin and opening again it wanted do download again. But where it downloaded to the firts time, weird.
And here one of the worst things, so I have almost 100GB itunes libary so I planed to have externall HDD for stuff that don't need to be one the 250GB SSD but for now I just set the itunes media folder location to the itunes folder in the inside HDD, and every fricking song is 4 times!

It could take so long to select three of every song and delete. Nothing changed in the itunes folder on the HDD.
Safari also so glitchy, once I closed caouple tabs and they stayed, and it like froze, turned into like screenshot, couldn't click anything had to quit.
And with iCloud... nothing synced... no passwords, no notes, no safari bookmarks, what worse I just decided to export bookmarks from sierra and add to the new high sierra and they keep disapearing after a couple moments! I can keep ading them and they keep disaperaing, until I loged out of icloud they stay after adding.
Spotify web player doesn't work on any browser.
In disk utility when I check info of the SSD it states "Solid state No", so I guess the OS don't think it's SSD because of the enclosure and that's why all of this weird behavior. I choose this external enclosure becouse it support UASP.
In system report the IOUSBAttachedSCSI is NOT loaded, and there is no extension named IOUSBMassStorageUASDriver.
