MacOS HS Broke Play/Pause/FF/Rewind buttons

For some reason, the media keys (Play/Pause/Fast Forward/Rewind) no longer control iTunes. I can't find anywhere in iTunes or Keyboard preferences to fix this. Instead, they control YouTube or whatever media is available in Safari. But I can not switch it to iTunes, even if I switch apps or close Safari.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

I'd open the Keyboard preference pane.
Then go to "shortcuts".
Then click "app shortcuts" (at the bottom).
Then click the "+" sign at the bottom.
From the popup, select iTunes.
Then, see if I could set things up from there...

Thanks but when I go to input the key, it doesn't recognise the Play button. :-/
