MacOS max brightness lower compared to bootcamp?

Whenever I run windows on bootcamp the max brightness is much higher than when running on MacOS.

After searching the internet, others have confirmed this happening running bootcamp with windows delivering about a 30% greater screen brightness.

It looks great and the colors really pop.

Is there a way to fix or change this for MacOS?

I wonder if this has something to due with the ambient light sensor.

Maybe it is just different for Windows, or just doesn't work.
