I've got a Mid-2015 Macbook Pro running Catalina 10.15.4. Inside, I have a 2TB aftermarket OWC SSD set up for 2 partitions, both formatted as APFS.
I have noticed a few issues with the apple music app.
First is the general slowness on loading. I have 35k tracks, maybe 30-40 playlists something like that and it takes a good 5-6 seconds to load compared to almost instant when it had iTunes on it and around 300 playlists. I do have a good few smart playlists, could that be the reason for the slower loading?
Also, if I don't close down the music app before I close the lid of the laptop, then any new songs I've added or any changes to playlists have been made, all of those changes are lost when I open the lid again. Does anyone else have this issue?
I did try turning off the "put hard disks to sleep when possible" setting in the system prefs but it still does it.
Any ideas?
