Hi all,
im having issue getting my MBP to go to sleep!
My setup involves the MBP (in clamshell mode) connected to an OWC TB3 Dock. In most cases, when i logout, the MBP will go to sleep after 10mins or so in the logout page. However, there are times when i would come to the desk in the morning finding that the MBP stays in the logout screen throughout the night (monitor remains off). I could tell the MBP is not asleep through a yellow indicator light on the OWC dock as well as the fact that the base of the MBP is still warm.
This problem seems to be around after the system has been used for awhile. I suspect something is running in the background preventing sleep. However, it is strange that there will be any system running when i have logout on all profiles.
The only way i find to resolve this issue is to give the system a reboot. However it is annoying to do so because in a clamshell mode, i would need to to open up the lid to sign in before the dock works...
PS: i have 2 MBP (2014 and 2017) both seems to exhibit similar issue suggesting it is something to do with the OS rather than hardware?
Anyone having a similar issue?
Cheers!
