Ever since AT&T started using "5GE" for their higher speed LTE network, I am still seeing "LTE" in macOS Wi-Fi selection for personal hotspot, see pictured. Anyone else experiencing this? I can verify I have 5GE coverage on my phone but my Mac still shows it as using LTE on my phone. I had this happen on both Big Sur and Monterey but I'm sure it's happening on older versions as well.

Wild guess: phone is not passing a string/text value for network type, probably a number. Along the lines of 0=3G, 1=4G, 2=LTE, 3=5G. And since 5Ge is solely an ATT marketing scam that's controlled via carrier settings of the phone, Macs have no type string for 5Ge since it's really just LTE.
