I have a 2013 Macbook Pro on MacOS 10.14.6. I use Apple's provided "Screen Sharing.app" to administer my house's media server, an M1 Mac Mini on MacOS 12.6.1. Roughly 10% of the time I use the Screen Sharing app, it fails to receive system key presses. In other words, pressing "cmd+tab" brings up the host OS app switcher instead of the guest OS app switcher, or pressing "cmd+space" brings up the host OS spotlight instead of the guest OS spotlight. Restarting the host computer usually solves the problem, however not always, and I just went through a period for the last two days where nothing would fix it, and then this morning it was working properly again.
I have tried searching for previous reports and/or solutions to this issue but have come up empty. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to prevent it in the future or at least what I could do to efficiently fix the problem when it occurs.
