Since 15.4, the bluetooth sound output volume has been ridiculously low. I had to crank the volume through the roof just for my XM streaming to an Anker BT speaker. 15.4.1 resolved this.

My experience was the opposite. Bluetooth volume was fine but became ridiculously low after updating to 15.4.1.

since the 15.4.1 update, Mac Studio isnt playing audio alerts from apps (mail, messages, etc) Checked the setting everything set as it should ... but mail and messages are coming in silent??

Why the **** do the first 2 tabs disappear visually. i can click on them, they are there, but they just aren't there visually.

Wonder if making changes in Sound Effects settings (alert sound, internal/external speakers, etc) to something different... restarting, then changing back to your preferred settings (and restarting again?) will help at all.

Shouldn't be necessary to kludge after a security update, but could be worse 🫤 ?

Anybody having problem with Apple Music Lossless streaming? Mine started singe 15.4 and continued in 15.4.1

Apple Music will just not play any song, downloaded or not when lossless is enabled... now I can only play AAC 256k

thanks. I found 'toggling' all the sound settings and reselecting alert sound and restart made it all come back... tehn later in day go silent again. May be a bug, just annoying for now. I felt since getting the MacStudio and ASD there are many buggy things with general sound settings—they come and go... but never really get fixed.

Since upgrading from 15.4 to 15.4.1 my Caldigit TS4 will no longer passthrough video from my M2 MBA to my display.

Tested the cable by bypassing the dock and that works fine, tested on a second laptop with 15.4.1 and that doesn't work. Tested the setup on a 15.4 laptop and it all works.

Since upgrading to 15.4.1, my keyboard (Satechi X2 in wired mode and Canon flatbed scanner no longer work through the TS4. They both work inserted into my Mac Mini M4 and the Satechi does work in bluetooth mode when attached to the TS4 for charging purposes.

I also tried an older Logitech Windows keyboard. it too does not work when attached to the TS4 but does when attached to the Mac Mini.

Update:
After turning both the Mac mini and the hub off and unplugging them both for about a half hour, everything seems to have come back to life after turning all back on again.
Apparently a proper reboot may have been all that was needed.

MacBookPro14,3
Sequoia 15.4 and 15.4.1
Note: This problem only started after upgrading to Sequoia 15.4.

I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Since installing 15.4 (and subsequently 15.4.1, hoping it would fix the issue with the new OCLP), I’ve had an issue with 1Password and using Touch ID to unlock it.

This worked fine with 15.3.x and earlier. Also, note that Touch ID works correctly from the macOS login/lock screen on 15.4.1.

While I can enable Touch ID in the 1Password settings and the fingerprint icon appears, if I press it, I get a spinning icon and eventually it fails. I can’t use Touch ID to unlock 1Password.

I can still unlock it with my Master Password, but after doing so, I get a popup with a crash notification: "coreautha quit unexpectedly," with "Reopen / Report... / Ignore" options. If I choose Reopen, it crashes again. Ignore makes it go away.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of 1Password from their website, but it made no difference.

It's just an inconvenience, but I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this?

Cheers,
G./

Safari 18.4 (Sequoia 15.4.1) does not display open tabs on other devices. Is this a bug or a problem with Settings somewhere? Recently closed tabs and Reading lists display fine.

Edit: I reported this after an hour of tabs not showing up; then they suddenly appeared. iCloud problem or a non-problem. Sorry.

Recently some Pages, Keynote, and Numbers documents have been suddenly showing the file extension. I'm hiding it from “Get Info”, but no matter I did it reappears again.

I just turned off extensions and can confirm this also for 15.5 Beta 4.
