It's been awhile since I have used a beta version of macOS, and since the 2023 m2 MacBook Pro I just got last night has macOS 15.1 beta on it, I am wondering if it will automatically convert from a beta to the actual version or do I have to reinstall it? unfortunately I cannot remember, and with the storms in Chicago last night that stole my power until 2:45 am, and a freaked out poor sweet canine friend, the brain is not braining too well yet. need much more coffee.

Based on previous experience, you will only get offered updates in the beta stream unless you change that in System Settings > Software Update. If you do nothing, after 15.1 RC you will be offered a beta for 15.2 (when it is available). So after you have 15.1 RC turn the beta updates off.

Right now, my 15.0 beta shows 4 choices in Software Update:
Off - I don't want any more betas, thank you.
MacOS Sequoia Developer Beta - that is the 15.0 beta stream which I am using.
MacOS Sequoia 15.1 Developer Beta - what you are currently using.
MacOS Sequoia Public Beta - same as 15.0 developer beta but probably delayed by a day or two.
