MacOS Big Sur here. I use Spotlight (CMD+space) a lot for quickly pulling up contact details - including my own phone number as I can never remember it.

Problem is Spotlight is failing to find the nicknames for myself / my contacts.

Typing in Spotlight the proper names of myself or my contacts will bring up the correct details so that is working. The problem is using the proper names is longer and harder to type / spell, and brings up various people with similar names. So it's much easer to use nicknames instead. I used to put the nickname in the Name field, but that creates problems when sharing contacts or giving mine out to professional associates.

This is particularly annoying as the default Nickname field is shown immediately below the names in the contact cards so should be part of the contact name database. I've tried adding the nicknames to the Notes section of the Contacts but that doesn't work either.

Any ideas?
