This is an odd one. I just AirDrop'd a short voice memo to my Mac Mini (running macOS 12.6), and when I tried to open it with QuickTime, I get the following warning message:
Clicking Open works as expected, but I don't understand why it thinks an audio file is an app. Here's the file info. All looks normal:
Please note: the later "modified" time is because I edited the file's metadata in an external app. This was done AFTER the issue I described happened, so that has nothing to do with the issue.
