Does anyone have any suggestions for training classes that might be available for learning the ins/outs of using MacOS? I'm a recently retired lifelong Windows user who decided to completely embrace the Apple ecosystem after adopting an Iphone, then Ipad. Microsoft has all kinds of free classes and guides available for their products, but I've yet to find anything from Apple. Any help appreciated.

I remember when I first moved from Windows to Mac and wanted to uninstall a program.
I looked everywhere for the equivalent of Windows Uninstaller and eventually called my brother- a long time Mac user and asked him what to do.
'You drag it to the trash can' was the answer
You'll find most things on the Mac work pretty much the same way and that's probably why there isn't a lot of help.

I did pretty much the same as you last year. I'd suggest checking out macmost.com. Lots of good info there.

Well, welcome!

If you haven't found it yet, the Mac User Guide can be found in the "Help" menu when the Finder is active. The user guides for the Mac system and built-in apps are very clear and well-organized.

Apple will actually do this for you for free... or at least they used to.

As for other things, YouTube has quite a few channels that help newbies and give very good easy explanations and ideas.

What kinds of things do you want to do with your new beautiful Mac that you did with windows? or try new?

if you're working with lots of files etc and miss the Right Click new file menu from Windows, Check out New File Menu in the App Store, there is a free version and one that costs 2.99 I believe. I liked it enough I paid for it.
