I'm moving up from a Mac mini 2018 with 11.x and a Samsung SE790C with 3440x1440 screen to a Mac Studio Max updated to 13.1
I have done the usual tricks ( for me ) of reducing transparency, reducing motion, increase contrast - all three switched to on ... because I can't stand the various medium gray on gray, over a shaded gradients. Anyway.
I have the dock sized the same. Its icons do not seem sharp, and fonts seem still a bit to grey and fuzzy. As if something is on/off with smoothing, aliasing, ...
But I can't put my finger on it. Tried a quick search, there's some older results, but couldn't find the right answer ... mostly suggestions to use third party screen switchers to set native resolution. And, that's not what it is. I can set the resolution to 3440x1440 just fine. Or half that. I can split my screen in half with both computers occupying half the screen, and the difference in visual clarity is quite noticeable. The old one is sharp. The Mac Studio is off.
Tried HDMI & DisplayPort. Seems the same.
Tried different desktop backgrounds.
Is this a Ventura thing?
Is this a Mac Studio thing?
