This sums up the 'Weather' app in the years since the purchase of Dark Sky:

Why can you not search for meteorological terms?

That search field is to search for locations, not for other things.
The humidity value is already visible in the window.

I know what it does, the point is that the 'search' box is actually a 'location' box and nothing more.

Same for Spotlight really. If I type 'humidity' it does not bring up the Weather app value or even the Weather app as a suggestion, but it does (to its slight credit) bring up 'Home' or 'HomePods' tip on how to check the humidity of a room.

yeah, most people search for cities, not search for something slightly lower on the main screen. I suppose they could change the label to 'search city' for you.

It’s interesting to me how people nowadays rely on search box for everything. The UIs nowadays should be just a search box, like Google
