Hello Everyone

I am trying to create a MacOS X install USB stick that also installs the iLife applications... just the way new Macs come with everything installed before the signature C video.

Any guidelines or pointers are appreciated.

Thanks!

I used these instructions to create a Snow Leopard thumb drive installer from the SL DVD. I suppose you could use the same method to make an installer from the OEM install DVD that comes with a new Mac. That would have Snow Leopard and iLife both on it.

Thanks for the instructions. I know this works for the install DVD. The new macs come with separate DVDs for MacOS X and iLife apps. How can I combine them both in one USB stick so that both the OS and iLife in one shot before setting up new users.

Maybe you could put two partitions on the thumb drive then put one DVD on each partition. I think if you did this then booted while holding the option key you would see both partitions then you could select the install one to install OS X and just run the iLife right from in OS X.
