I thought macosxrumors was the bad one.
Im so confused.

Nah, macosrumours was the bad one. Up until the site died they were adamant that the Mac Pro would include an 8-core system with the 4-core Conroe chip.

Mind you, the fact that Conroe isn't a 4-core chip, in fact there are no 4-core Intel processors shipping at all, didn't seem to stop them.

They were also sure that the iBook name was going to make a comeback and that there would be new Apple laptops called the "MacBook Thin" and the "MacBook Gamer"

Hmm, nope, can't seem to squeeze a tear out for the demise of macosrumors.com, good riddance.

Seems to me that this is business as usual for them, since this isn't the first time it has happened.

Perhaps they were too busy writing about mystical quad-core Woodcrest chips to notice their domain was due to expire.

The site is now back on-line, full of amazing rumours about Apple. And the world is a better place for it. Or something.

Can't someone please buy the domain name so that we may never more endure the pain that is MacOSRumors ?

Yep. Happens every year.

There was a time, many years ago, when they were a pretty reliable source of info. Now their breathless prose, updated only once or twice every few months, is pretty pathetic.
