Hi, I'm currently with Mac OSX 10.6.8 on a late 2009 Macbook. Then I got an iPad 2 with iOS 5.1 which I intended to test run iOS app. However I found that Xcode 4.2 on SL doesn't support iOS 5.1 and there seem to be no official way to restore the iPad to iOS 5.0. The option I have seem to be upgrading from SL to Lion and use Xcode 4.3. So I've two questions:

1. Is there any way to work with iOS 5.1 on SL?
2. In light of the coming release of OSX ML, is it worth while to upgrade to Lion now? Will Lion run well on Macbook with 2 GB ram?

I'm using Lion on a MacBook Pro Mid-2009. 8GB RAM. Good enough. Not fast/slow. You might want to increase the Ram a bit. No noticeable performance changes from SL to Lion, really.
