Hello everybody,

since I am having some spare time I'd like to make a deep clean to my OS before backup and a restore, basically I have the system running since 2011 on a MBPro which I then restored on a 2009 27' iMac turned into main computer, it has gone through several updates, software additions and removal but the library grew huge and I have tons of stuff ripping space, memory and totally unused so I'd like to remove all of the un needed and unused software as to free space and also making the library a little thinner, is there any freeware software to help me find out unused stuff which can be safely deleted as to make the system quicker or what can I check besides startup items to achieve the weight loss before backup and eventual upgrade to HighSierra when released?

Thank you

Giovanni
