Hey Everyone

I recently installed XP onto my MBP the other day (Yes I know! Something I thought I would never do but wanted to play COD5)

Anyway, everytime I go to restart it and Press Option to be able to choose to reboot in XP, it goes so slow..it just shows a white screen for ages and dosn't even give the option to reboot into either OSX OR XP and if I leave it and don't press option, it still takes ages to load OSX..

What could a solution be?

Define: ages

Takes all of 30 seconds to boot OS X here (and about 40 to boot Windows 7)

Ages..

MACOX took about 10min

XP: Still don't know as it just hasn't worked since the first time I booted into it.

First of all, its not MACOX/MACOSX as you call it but rather Mac OS X (Macintosh Operating System Ten/10/X)

Now that we got that outta the way. When did OS X start booting so slowly? Was it after you installed Windows, or did the issue start occurring before that?

Is there anything in your DVD drive? Sometimes it takes forever to boot up because it attempts to boot-up from the DVD first.

I assume after installing XP, however not sure as I havn't ever really turned my Mac off since the day I got it, a year ago.

So are you implying that you haven't even been installing any updates that have been coming out? In the last year there has been at least a dozen which required restarts...
