MacPAR deLuxe extracting issue

I have used MacPAR deLuxe for a long time with no issues, but recently, it has started giving me problems when attempting to unpack par2 files. It will verify and recover (if necessary) them, but then it will just sit there, not even attempting to extract them. I receive no errors in Console, and MacPAR says "All files checked out fine." Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to rectify this situation, or some recommendations for other software that can deal with par2 files?
