Hello everyone :D

I've been looking around for alternatives to iTunes. None of the alternatives seemed good enough. Then I found out the XMMS can be used in MAC through MacPorts. I love XMMS because it resemebles WinAmp which I also love.

Anyway, I was able to go through installing MacPorts successfully. Also, I was able to successfully compile XMMS using it and run it as well. However, I wouldn't want to go through the same tedious process next time I format my drive so I decided that it best I make an XMMS binary by using:

port dmg xmms

When I enter that however, I get this long error message:

Welcome to Darwin!
crimson-rhum-gins-computer:~ BloodRush$ port dmg xmms
Error: Unable to execute port: /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_audio_xmms/work/.macports.xmms.state is not writable - check permission on port directory
crimson-rhum-gins-computer:~ BloodRush$

Is there anyone here who encountered the same problem? I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance :D
