So I'm trying to see what I can achieve on Lepoard with Macports Samba3. Right now it's not going too well. The goal is very simple, connect to my Windows 10 server running SMB2 and up. Smbclient however cannot negotiate a protocol and I'm still racking my head on this. Using -M SMB2 leads to unknown protocol, SMB2 is set as min and max protocol in smb.conf and I'm kinda clueless right now. Ironically I remember having the same issue last year on Debian and I eventually got it working but for the life of me I cannot remember how. Maybe it is conflicting with Lepoards SMB implementation? if any of you have any experience with dabbling with Macports Samaba I'd love to know.
Basically trying to get Lepoard using Macports Samba (SMB2 supported in Samba) to talk to an SMB2 server.
Also before you say just use SMB1, 1. The point is trying to use 2 to see if it can be done. 2. If you can avoid using SMB1 then you should.
