Hi all,
I have installed Apple BCM94321MC wifi module in my mac pro 2.1, connected with stock antennas labeled 1 and 2.
With that card, I am having a lot of wifi problems - it sometimes wont connect, or when it connects, its unstable - ping varies from 50ms to a few seconds when pinging my router (ZTE931). Speed is also terrible, ranging from 1 to 15 transfer rate.
Mac is running dual boot, OSX10.7.5 on HDD and OSX10.11.6 on SSD.
I have tried basically all the "solutions" I had found on google:
Deleting preferences in system/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/
Reseting smc, pram, nvram
DHCP release, setting 1453 on mac address configuration, removing all the entries in keychain for wifi passwords
Verifying disk permissions, repairing disk permissions
Manually adding a wifi connection
Removing all the extra devices which are connected (which are none)
Reseting the router, changing the connection security, changing the broadcasting channel, giving a mac a fixed ip address.
Setting the IPV6 to link local only
Updating the firmware on router
My Macbook4.1, which runs 10.6.3 (had similar problems like above when updating to a newer system version, like 10.6.5. or Lion) connects easily to the router above.
I have even bought a new router - TPLinkDIR600, to which the macpro wont connect most of the times,
or when it connects, there is basically no internet connection (literally or the transfer data rate is 1-2). MacBook connects to it fine (sitting on the desk next to the macpro), giving normal (or in this case excellent) connection speed.
Please I am begging for a solution to this. Cable connection is not possible, wireless is the only way I can get online.
Thanks for replies!
P.S. I am new here, apologies in advance if I have missed the correct subforum.
