Hi guys, I'm having a huge problem over here. I recently opened a thread about my below average read write stats with my evo 840 1tb + velocity x2. Since then I noticed that my system started to freeze completely after a while.
Well, today, when booting up I noticed that my screen (30' apple) went totally nuts by turning on and off constantly alongside with some clicking noises inside the macpro. I could notice that the system boots up fine. It might have been the graphicscard, since I upgraded that part. So I did some troubleshooting and exchanged the GTX680 with my original 5770 still with the same issues. The clicking noises are still remaining somehow even the MP is shut down.
anyone had similar troubles? Is my MP gone for good? The worst of times that this could happen
any help is tremendously appreciated.
MP 4.1
2.93GHZ quad
8gigs RAM
GTX680 / HD5770
1tb ssd + velocity x2
3 HDDs
10.8.5

Resolved: The culprit was my 30' Apple Cinema HD's power supplier, the clicking noises even after shutting the MP down was the give away. Working fine now. Sorry for the panic thread. Can be deleted now, thanks
