Hi - a buddy picked up a great MacPro on ebay recently, and I've been searching and found a MacPro clone by a company called Appleopensysems, website appleopenusa.com. I have only modest computer skills and would appreciate any information as to what the experts think of this. I've search MacRumors and can't find specific references to this approach to hackintosh machines. Thanks in advance. Bill

Then I would recommend against purchasing a Hackintosh.

Your best bet is ti buy from apple. There are threads on Hackintoshs, Pystar and so on, but it takes time, lots of reading and so on. Not for the faint of heart.

Thank you for taking the time to answer, those were the responses I had expected and I do appreciate the advice. Bill

A hackintrash will be nothing but trouble.

The best bet is to always buy the real deal instead of imitation.

For those that aren't afraid of a little tinkering, these guys are making it very tempting....Apple better hurry up and get some new hardware out there or these outfits will be snapping up folks that are sick of waiting and know their way around a computer.
