MacPro, Feb '08, switching off few times a day

I am leaving my MacPro off on Monday morning to a specialist to try and diagnose the problem, but I am just wondering if anyone has heard of a MacPro switching off 1/2 times a day, and how I could quickly diagnose myself?

2.8 Quad.
6GB ram (4GB aftermarket)
2600HD
3x300GB Raid0, 1x80GB Vista
