Very odd that there was no change in the look of the Pro Series. Ive heard some say that there possibly will be a change after Leopard but who knows. This transition to intel didnt really make a big look difference, only the laptops changed!
Personally im not dissapointed cause its a pretty cool case i just hope its even less noisy! :D
 
Things changed on the inside, however. The new Mac Pro seems to make more efficient use of space. It is a huge case- with great potential. Four hard drives can now be installed.
 
Trading 6 fans for extra hard drive and optical drive space seems a pretty good change. Other than weight, I don't think there was anything wrong with the case.

Hopefully, it will be reliable.
 
I think it was sorta the point?

It's like saying, look, we're still Macs. New insides, but we're still Macs. (exception of the Macbook though).

As a matter of interest, what were the major issues when the G5 tower was first released? Seeing as the innards have been considerably re-engineered it seems possible that history might repeat itself.

U mean that this "new" case will bring up problems?
I cant remember the probs that the first 1.6 G5s had, anyone caring to remind?

I just ordered my Mac Pro 2.66 the only thing I changed was the mouse and keyboard. I got the wireless. cant wait till I get it.
