Macpro/Win XP/Mic

Dear all,

Within winxp and come to think of it OSX. Is there a way to get the mic working. I do a lot of online gaming in XP and wasn't sure if my old mic from my pc would work? I thought the port next to the speaker line out was the mic port?

Correct me if i'm wrong but it does have a mic port doesnt it?

I thought it might be a driver issue at the moment, that why it doesnt work in XP.
