I was curios to see how they compare at pixel level. When I first saw the iPad display I thought it was pretty awesome but it doesn't even come close to Retina display, that's in a league of it's own, keep in mind these shots are real macro images, I can't see the pixels of retina display with the naked eye. Note the different geometry of the pixels. I wish my monitor had the same quality...
