macro to export to xls when closing spreadsheet

Is there a way to have Numbers export to xls format in a different folder when closing Numbers (or when closing the window)... or even when saving the spreadsheet.

I'm using Mountain Lion and Numbers '09. In past versions, there used to be a checkbox for exporting when Saving As, but that's gone. But I don't think that would be optimal even if it still exists, because I need to save the XLS spreadsheet in a DropBox folder, and I prefer not to keep my Numbers spreadsheet there.
