Hey there,

I recently got the new retina macbook pro.

I'd like to get a better understanding of how to use it.

I thought that'd be cool if I could set my mac to wake at a certain time (which I know is fairly straight-forward) and to open the BBC news video on tvcatchup or their website.

What would be the best way to tackle this. I thought about trying to make an application in automator to open tvcatchup and subsequently play the bbc news channel. Then set my mac to wake at a certain time and open the created app at launch.

Would that be feasible? Can you set automator to open a weblink in a webpage?

The annoyance with that would be that every time I woke my mac the BBC new channel would open. Is there any way to set that conditionally?

Or is there a much better way to carry out the process in its entire?
