I am constantly getting spinning beach ball on macrumors.com on both safari and chrome and have to force close the browser to get it back. I have allowed auto-play, flash, popups, etc., but nothing seems to fix it. Any ideas? Could this be something in the site's code causing end user browsers to crash?

Try to use an ad-blocker for a day or two and see if it changes anything. I personally don't use adblockers because I want to support the ecconomy around free internet sites, but it might be a misbehaving ad.
