maybe you had a few posts that went wastelanded.

it can take a little while before post-count-related privileges are put into place. It took a few hours before I could get my avatar put on.

Just give it a while. :)
 
yes the database has to be updated, it will take an hour or so, dont fret it will be fine.

If you have auto-login enabled, perhaps, you can try logging out and log back in again. That could prompt the system to update your status. Seems that your post count is on borderline case, sometimes like katie says it could be some old threads got wastelanded and that resulted in a sudden post count drop.
 
is there a page anywhere that details what things you 'unlock' for yer loyalty? like how many points did it take for me to get my avatar! i remember it just appearing there one day.

Somewhere around the forums is that thread... search for it, and it will come.
