For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with Elevation Lab to give MacRumors readers a chance to win some MagicGrips that are designed for Apple's Magic Mouse.

MagicGrips, made from a solid silicone rubber, are designed to make the Magic Mouse a lot more comfortable to work with by making it wider and giving you more to hold onto. MagicGrips cover 75 percent of the sides of the Magic Mouse, but don't interfere with click travel thanks to a precise fit.

Elevation Lab says the MagicGrips are designed to create a big concave surface for your fingers, for a more relaxed grip that makes the mouse easier to use for long periods of time. When the MagicGrips were in development, the company tested more than 100 prototypes to find the ideal design that was most comfortable for the widest number of users.

MagicGrips work with all hand sizes and for both left and right-handed users, and they're compatible with both Magic Mouse 1 and 2 models. There's also an XL thumb grip for an even wider grip if desired.

The MagicGrips attach to the sides of a Magic Mouse using 3M adhesive that can be removed at any time.

Elevation Lab normally charges $12.95 for the MagicGrips, but we have 50 of them to give away, so we'll have a lot of winners for this giveaway. Glad to know these exist! I opted not to get a Magic Mouse when I got a new Mac a while ago, because the grip seemed so weird and tenuous. The scrolling on it is great, but I couldn't get used to holding it. I'd definitely give these a try.
 
I have a set of these with the XL thumb grip installed and I really like it. Make it much more comfortable to use for longer periods of time.
 
These grips are so good: so good that I bought a second Magic Mouse for work knowing that I could buy more grips. The super-sharp edges of the mouse always irritated my fingers. Now the mouse is perfect.

What I've found works pretty well with the magic mice is to take a decent Logitech model, like the MX705 or VX Revolution series, and *carefully* tape the logitech mouse to the top of the Apple mouse. I find that the Apple mice are sensitive enough that when you click on the Logitech mouse, it is picked up by the Magic mouse and it works fine. To be fair, you do lose the touch gestures on top of the Apple Mouse - if that's important enough, you can tape the Magic mouse onto the top of the logitech mouse, but then it's more awkward to use. For me, I don't use the touch gestures much, so it's easier to put the Logitech on top of the magic mouse instead of vice versa.

While everyone bashes Apple's lack of ergonomics, I think they are doing an incredible job in balancing business aspect as well as design.

They are essentially making them look good to sell it to customers, and create a huge market place that enhances their product.

As more of these accessory options are available, customers would want to buy Apple product more to try those accessories

Stop being a troll. Many people here already said they like the MM just fine. And for others the "perfect mouse" is just a personal preference. Get over it.

There are some on Amazon. But only bother to read the ones from Amazon Verified Buyers. Anyone, any Apple-hater can post negative reviews on Amazon. But unless Amazon verifies that they truly purchased the product, their reviews are usually just rubbish.

Wish I'd known about this product when I got my iMac -- would have maybe kept the Magic Mouse instead of selling it immediately on eBay.

Like some others here, I love the touch surface but found it too hard to really hold comfortably in the hand.

I started using a MM on an iMac after a few years using a trackpad MacBook Air. Instantly felt right in my hand, especially using the gestures. I don’t think it’s necessarily always people getting used to things.

It's my favorite mouse for everything but gaming. I think it just comes down to your own physiology and the way you sit and the ergonomics of your workstation in general. There's going to be a percentage of people that can't use something.

This mouse is very popular so clearly not everyone finds it to be an ergonomic nightmare.
 
Purchased some of these after seeing this ad and they really do greatly improve the feel of the otherwise perfect magic mouse. highly recommended.

This adaption should really be the way it is sold from Apple... does really improve the ergonomics and comfort (and look) of the magic mouse imho.
