I rarely hear the expression "whole shebang", so kudos to the writer.

I like the iPhone charger, monitor stand and the wrist rest. I'm not sure why I would need a keyboard or trackpad "tray". The Apple keyboards and trackpads have rubber feet to keep them in place. And by themselves they're pretty ergonomic. I don't know what would be gained by raising them up on pieces of wood.

Something I just don't get.... I mean the stand for the iPhone I get it... it charges while allowing you a direct view of the screen without touching it.

But the monitor, KB, pad, etc... all these things are made with their own feet/stand. I don't understand the motivation of paying for an additional stand under the existing stand...

I like the wood, it looks nice. But I usually have the monitors as close to the desk as possible in order to be ergonomic.

Part of it to have some things higher up potentially and have some space under them for something (like in the case of the monitor), and another part of it is basically more along the lines of aesthetics that someone might prefer.

Not sure if I love this or hate this. Entered the contest anyway. I think it would look pretty good without so much stuff on the desk at the same time. I'll consider picking up the iMac stand when I get one—if Apple ever updates them!

I can't speak to the keyboard stand or mousepad, but - if you're using a laptop with a large monitor, having the monitor up on a raised stand lets you stow the laptop underneath so it's out of the way (the assumption is you're also using an external keyboard and mouse if you're using a big monitor).

At work I have a metal stand I bought for this purpose something like 15 years ago, back when I got my first Powerbook. With the laptop under the stand, you can still access all the ports* with the laptop under there. It works really well, and makes good use of available space.

* This is only true of Apple laptops that actually have a variety of useful ports, so the current MBP is irrelevant to this discussion. :D

Why did the computer fall over?

Because it wooden stand.

(Sorry)

I have never seen the fascination with bare wood as a material though, aesthetically. Browny beigey yellowy bleh. I don't get it. But that's just my own personal taste. I guess this stuff looks nice... if you like wood stuff. So good luck to everyone eligible to enter.

I really like that laptop stand, but ouch ... that price. Crazy. No thanks.

$75-$100, and I'd probably bite, but not for $139. That's insane. I can make one myself for a lot less, and learn a lot too in the process. One could argue that the lack of mortise and tenon joints are moot, since it's unlikely to have to last beyond 5-10 years, but still ... makes me wonder how they can justify the price.

I just throw up in my mouth....

And the prices for each item are hilarious....
Looks like kindling to me - winter's about over. I dont have a use for the fireplace anymore

But ill enter - im sure some poor sap will buy it on ebay
