For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with Case Logic to offer MacRumors readers a chance to win one of the company's new Larimer Rolltop Backpacks. The backpack is available in "Hudson," a mix of blue, mint, yellow, and green, or "Petrol Green," a mix of green, tan, blue, and red. It's described by Case Logic as a utilitarian daypack that's able to hold a ton of stuff thanks to a multitude of pockets and an expandable rolltop feature.

Like many Case Logic products, the Larimer Rolltop Backpack is made from a durable 600D polyester with a water-repellent coating, which is designed to stand up to damage. Padded, adjustable straps ensure it's comfortable to wear for long periods of time even when packed with gear.

The backpack, which has a matching multi-color diamond-patterned interior lining, can hold a MacBook up to 15 inches in its padded laptop compartment, and there's also a slip pocket for a tablet up to 10.1 inches, which will accommodate the iPad Air 2, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, or a smaller tablet.

Accessories can be put inside a zippered front pocket or an internal zippered pocket, and with the rolltop expanded, there's additional space for any essentials. A nylon web is attached at the bottom for securing a hat or shoes.

I just bought a backpack recently. I chose an all-black one. I suppose other people might like these colour schemes. I suppose.

Those are fugly. Also, I'm not a fan of the one huge compartment to shove everything into, with little fabric dividers inside.

I've gone through several backpacks in my time to find the best option for me. A couple Timbuk2 models, Maxpedition, SwissGear, and a few other brands whose names I can't remember.

In the end, it was a SwissGear model that won me over. $49.99 at Costco:

For seriously quality laptop bags and more, I can highly recommend this company - http://www.knomobags.com/uk/laptop-bags/men
Agreed. I've had my knomo bag for 9 years and it still looks as good as new with 2 compartments for 15" laptop and iPad and a front pocket for accessories, pens, wallet, lunch, tie etc... Also since it is padded, it acts as a good laptop rest to work from when I'm on a train without a table.

How much is Costco membership these days?

Interestingly enough, less than the cost of posting a flippant question.
I thought I might receive that kind of response, but I was actually genuinely interested to know. I don't have a Costco membership myself.

Don't get all the negative comment, you like it enter the contest, you don't ....well don't enter ;).

I for one need a backpack and I think it looks kind of cool, so hopefully I will be able to win it :D

With more than 4000 entries it means that at least 1000 people more or less are interested (given an average 4 entry each) so I would say either people want to win just to win or more than 1000 really need / like this bag :D

Membership costs a lot more than posting a flippant question. They have two levels of membership. One is $55 and the other is $110. We get the expensive one because it includes 2% cash back on purchases on the included credit card. We earn more than enough to cover the membership fee. We live really close to one so we buy our gas there and save a lot of money that way too. They used to partner with American Express for the credit card but now they are moving to Visa (I think).

My remark wasn't flippant, the commenter described the price of a Costco bag, so naturally I wondered what the membership cost was as well. Thanks though for that explanation, now I know. Cheers.

It's a free contest. You could have a free drawing for dog poop and you would have people entering.

Setting the colors aside for a moment, the roll top just seems very inconvenient. Any time you want something out of the main compartment you have to unsnap, unroll, remove item, re-roll and re-snap. That seems like it will be very annoying after about a day.

I get the waterproofing aspect. But it just seems like a huge price to pay in convenience.
