For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with Satechi to offer MacRumors readers a chance to win a Type-C 75W Travel Charger for powering both USB-C and USB-A devices.

Ideal for travel, the Satechi USB-C Multiport Charger comes equipped with one USB-C port compatible with Apple's USB-C MacBook and MacBook Pro models, two standard USB 3.0 ports that offer 2.4A for charging iPads and iPhones at fast speeds, and a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 port that charges compatible Android devices faster.

The built-in USB-C port delivers 60W of power, which is suitable for the 13-inch MacBook Pro but won't be able to charge the 15-inch MacBook Pro at full 87W speeds. It is, however, likely enough power for non-system intensive tasks and it will keep your machine topped up and ready to go.

You can also use the USB-C port with a USB-C to Lightning cable for fast charging the iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPad Pro models.

All four of the ports can be used at the same time to provide a max of 75W of power to your devices. An LED light at the top indicates when something is being charged, and the removable AC plug lets it collapse down for portability.

Priced at $64.99, the USB-C Travel Charger has been designed specifically with travel in mind, so it supports a broad input range (100 to 240V) to meet international voltage requirements.

I know it is 2018 and I know should know this but I still do not understand how useful this charger is.

For devices that consume more power than a smartphone, USB C Power Delivery is becoming more and more common. MacBooks, Nintendo Switch, many Windows laptops, all charge via USB C. Using a USB A to USB C cable with a typical charger (like you'd use to charge your phone) won't provide enough power to charge a laptop.

It's handy to have more than one charger, say for home and work.

This device is a bit less expensive than Apple's 61W charger, and it includes 3 USB 3 ports to charge your iPhone, etc. at the same time as your MacBook.

Finally, from an environment perspective as well as a convenience perspective, it will be nice to not need a different charger for each different device, or when replacing one device with another (for example, upgrading to a new MacBook). It's akin to the time when every cell phone had its own charging connector and wall plug. USB C isn't yet ubiquitous, but once it is, it'll be convenient to share chargers and, theoretically at least, this could mean less waste.

Better be truly outstanding for that price

Why is no one making these with 85W support. I’d love to buy one, but with 60W my battery level keeps going up and down all day. That would certainly kill my battery quicker.

I know it is 2018 and I know should know this but I still do not understand how useful this charger is.

Not sure if you are referring to the USB-C feature or just the concept of a multi-charger in general, but I can give you two great scenarios where the latter is useful. 1)I have a multi-charger sitting on the desk at home with 4 wires. All four people in the house plug their phones in there at night. One outlet used, nice and neat. 2)same scenario but traveling with the family - you know how hard it sometimes is to find a usable outlet in a hotel room. This thing allows you to use the one available plug and the whole family can charge devices overnight.

Of course, the above scenarios are with my 6-port USB charger. Given that the gadget in question here only has two USB ports, one USB-C and one Android port, it's not as useful for my purposes.
