This site being one of (if not the most) popular Apple fan/rumor sites, I sure a lot of users would appreciate this. Maybe on the front page, there could be an enlarged MacRumors icon on the front page so iPhone users and iPod touch users can have nice icons on he home screens. 1st pic is a pic I found on Google images. 2nd one is the icon on the home screen.

If you took that with PhotoBooth you should have the photo automatically switch, so we can read that right to left not left to right backwards.;) Just a suggestion.

Haha. Sorry I just started using a Macs 4 months ago and I know 0% of the basics of photo editing.

Its VERY easy to make the icon
Here are details...... http://developer.apple.com/iphone/devcenter/designingcontent.html

iPhone and iPod touch allow a user to save a WebClip bookmark to your site on their Home Screen.

To specify a bookmark icon for all pages of a web site, place a PNG image named "apple-touch-icon.png" at the root directory of your web server - similar to the "favicon.ico" for site icons.

To override the site bookmark icon on a specific web page, insert a <link> element similar to <link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/customIcon.png"/> within the <head> element of the page.

The bookmark icon dimensions should be 57x57 pixels. If the icon is a different size it will be scaled and cropped to fit.

Safari will automatically composite the icon with the standard "glassy" overlay so it looks like a built-in iPhone or iPod application.

Come on Arn make this happen!!!!

The MacRumors WebClip icon matches Apple's specs:
apple-touch-icon.png

It does, but it doesn't look quite right on the iPhone. It's off centered and gets clipped. For my website I had to resize the logo in the image smaller than 57x57 for it to look good.

Apple should really provide people with the template image they put over the images so you can get a better feel for it.

I like the logo this guy did better can we use that???

the black background buggs me, plus I would love the logo to say macrumors
