Macrumors message appearing on the top right of my screen

Hello, recently I often get some kind of Macrumors messages showing up on the top right of my Mac. What is that? How to disable such notifications?

You must have subscribed to web notifications from MacRumors (it's a slick function in Safari), they show up like other notifications (i.e., Mail, Twitter, Messages).

If you want to remove a site, in Safari: Preferences >> Notifications, find the site, you can disable or remove completely.

Thanks. I have removed it according to your suggestion. Usually I use FireFox but such notifications also show up even Safari is not launched.
