Congratulations to the MacRumors community for reaching the 300,000-thread milestone.

Unfortunately, Murphy's Law has reared its ugly head and the milestone thread is not viewable to the vast majority of users. (The thread was automatically generated by a behind-the-scenes record-keeping system...that's all I can say about it.) So you'll just have to trust me that the milestone comes 350 days after Thread #200,000. (Discussion of the 200,000-thread milestone took place in this thread.)

The interval between threads 100,000 and 200,000 was 522 days, while it took 1333 days to reach the first 100,000 milestone.

Note that the statistics on the front page of the forums reflect a smaller number of threads for a variety of reasons, possibly including deleted threads, merged threads, etc. (I actually don't know the details of how those front page stats are calculated.)

That's good. MacRumors is getting more and more popular. In the fullness of time there is going to be the millionth thread which will be awsome to see.

This would be more impressive if 299,950 of those threads weren't about which Macs people should buy, and when they should buy them. ;)
