macs and pets

Okay, we've seen a ton of "macs and" threads, so here's an interesting one: What kind of pet do you have? does it like your Mac? what would you say is the perfect animal for your Mac?

I'll start things off... We have an adorable pet African Hedgehog, maybe 9 months old... She likes the sound it makes when she walks on our keyboard... But the iMac doesn't impress her. Not much does... She sleeps a lot. And acts pissed off... most of the time...

I've got a dog and two cats. The cats love to lay down on the keyboard and the dog - Marley mostly barks at me when I'm on the computer because I'm not playing with her. Even though they're pains sometimes, pets are great. They would all be mac users if they could read and had opposable thumbs.

The cats don't really care about the mice though.

my two tabbies aren't that interested in my macs though one always sits in my lap as i type. and i do have to vacuum my keyboard on a regular basis....

on the other hand, my daughter is only 18 months so she qualifies as a pet
( doesn't she?) and she LOVES my macs. by reaching her hand up over the edge of the keyboard drawer she has managed to change most of the names of the files on my desktop to "12", "2" and "/." . it adds an element of mystery to my drab life. she also likes to sneak up and hit the "enter" key when i'm in the middle of writing an e-mail-sending it off in it's unfinished glory. my friends ( and sadly, my clients) are used to the multiple letters at this point.

No pets currently, apartment living isn't conducive...

I consider my parents' pets to be mine by default, so here goes.
1 dog: Australian Sheperd mix, female, named "Promise" - one eye brown, one eye light blue, long hair, intelligent but nervous, very loving.
2 cats: One grey Tabby "Tonton", one Siamese mix "Moki"...both typical cats, sometimes lazy, sometimes crazy...

Pets!

Well, I am a big fan of pets.

I had six cats, but one ran away.
2 were pure white, but one ran away
1 was the momma cat, and spawned all the other 4 (the town whore)
2 other kittens; one black and white; the other callico
1 old old cat, that just sits around

Now for my puppy dawg. He is a golden lab/retriever mix. When I am on my mac, he just watches me, wagging his tail. Sometimes it is annoying because his breath REALLY stinks.

My cats dont really come in my room, because it is my dogs territory. ALthough the dog and the cats are really good friends. Its kinda weird.

I personally don't have my own....but I've always been a dog fan...had one when I was a kid named Snoopy...my mother has one now (teacup)...very sweet dog...

all I have of my own is an African Dwarf Frog...no pics of him but I'm sure one could track it down on the internet...he he he

I have no pets but I used to have a german shepard named candy
she was the dog of dogs
but I had to give her away hen I moved

TY i'm very proud of her have to admit i'm one of those boring "pet story" people at parties... lol

African dwarf frogs are cute little guys - Africa has the bets pets, aye? hmm.... your pet is in my pet's diet... hehe

lol! i have two little brothers, and when i lived at home, they were prone to the same thing... now the older one is 7 and loves the internet... god who knew porn could be too accessible?!? lol

I have a Dalmation, and there is no way on this earth I'll let her any where near my TiBook....... my dog has big claws, my TiBook is easily scratched... catch my drift??

The ideal mac for my dog would be the obvious one, iMac blue Dalmation....

I don't have a perfect animal for my mac, if it were a dog though (heh heh) it'd be a Weimaraner, sleek, silver and powerful....

Sometimes I wonder whether I'm my dog's pet or whether my dog is my pet.

i have a main coon cat...ferile and the way i like cats

but here's what i want once my wife and i could afford to rent a house

gila monster
banny rooster
horse
red faced monkey from brazil

problem is, one is illegal and could kill me if he's in a bad mood, one requires too much maintenance, one is too large, and one cannot be taken as a pet outside of brazil or south america

so the closest thing i have found, legal and not too hard to take care of, is a monitor lizard or bearded dragon, both of which are not poisonous

however, a friend of mine used to care for the local gila monster and got its trust and used to handle it (i assume it's been de-poisoned) and she asked me if i really wanted the experience, i could do her old job and volunteer at the shelter and care for the gila monster

for those that don't know what a gila monster is, it is one of two poisonous and deadly lizards which could get up to three feet and is widely regarded as the most regal and scariest of lizards in the world but the one at the shelter is considered friendly and docile for those that know and care for it

if a gila monster was a laptop, it would be yellow, orange, and black on the outside and run on 10,000 volts on the inside and have quad g4 processors but a very small hard drive...
