So my iMac is named "x." However, in other computers iTunes and on Apple TV, my iMac name is shown as "y," which is what my old computer was named.

Why doesn't Apple TV and iTunes on other computers, know my current computer name correctly?

Thanks.

The name may have been carried across when you transferred the iTunes library from the old machine. iTunes gives its own name to the Apple TV and other versions of iTunes. This name can be changed in the iTunes Preferences, at the bottom of the General pane. :)
