Best first post ever. What kind of computer do you have? What kind of keyboard do you have? Try cleaning under the keys with compressed air.

Err... you need a new keyboard. No idea what computer you've got, but if it's a MacBook you'll need a whole new topcase and they're not exactly cheap. If it's a MacBook Pro, you can just replace the keyboard, but they're expensive because (most of them) have backlighting so you're in something of a bind. I'd recommend you grab an external keyboard for the time being if you need to type a lot.

If you've got a desktop, then just buy a new keyboard and throw the malfunctioning one in a cupboard. It might work fine a month from now, but I wouldn't count on it. I'd see what your insurance company has to say; also, if it's a laptop, there's a chance liquid might have gotten into the logic board so you should get it checked out just in case it needs to be cleaned.

ok, i, copied, a, space, from, a, random, post, so, this, should, do, for, now...

I just tested a keyboard that I ran through the dishwasher a few weeks ago because it was VERY dirty. After drying for a week, the b key gave out a fast repeated h. I am using the keyboard now so after a few weeks in the cupboard, all is well.
:DDDDDDD=there=is=hope!!!

I'm surprised it still works after you've spilt cola or whatever over it. The sugar in these drinks will stick to the inside parts, so no it will probably not work.

This is honestly swear on my life not a joke, but would you consider doing this http://youtube.com/watch?v=F_uCvGYherU it does actually work. Although theres a chance that could kill the keyboard altogether, in which case you will need a new one anyway.

Just stump up and buy a new keyboard, they cost like 10 bucks.

Edit: Someone already posted the dishwasher thing, cool.

This happened to me once. The space bar wouldn't work, or the keys on the left hand side. . had some pretty interesting IM conversations for a while. :p Ended up just buying a new one, but maybe you'll be lucky and get yours working again! :)

Yay! :D Good to hear!
yeah, this bad boy cost me about 86 bucks, it pairs up with bluetooth, and is the same layout as the laptop keyboard, they sawed off the numpad and everything else with it, but it works like a dream i tell you.:D
