Having issues with MacTheRipper.

Does it strip copy protection while ripping? I've tried to rip a dvd i just bought for the kids this weekend so that they can tear up the "copy" in their room and I can't get MTR to work with it. It said cannot read 512 blocks at 0 or something like that.

is there a way to correct this?
